Conversion rate is a marketing metric expressed in percentage to measure a specified user action. This metric could be sales, downloads, submitted lead forms or any other predetermined metric. Most widely used in online marketing, conversion rate expresses the proportion of sales from the number of website visits. It tells what percentage of potential clients convert to customers. High conversion rate means there is a optimal marketing funnel, while low means there should be room for improvement.
